Privacy Policy

This page explains how the iPhone app Gohan Otasuke-kun (ごはんお助けくん, "the App") handles your information.

1. Information you enter in the App

You can enter meal plans, family members' nicknames, dishes they would like to eat, breakfast and lunch notes, ingredients at home and their quantities, shopping lists, favorite shops (names and URLs), and favorite dishes.

2. Where it is stored

• The information you enter is stored on your iPhone.
• The App does not automatically send this information over the internet. The operator has no server for the App and cannot see what you enter.
• The App has no advertising, usage analytics, or login.
• If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, the App's data may be included in that backup, depending on your settings. Backups are handled by Apple or on your own computer, not by the operator.

3. Information we collect

The operator does not collect personal information through the App.

4. Other apps and services

• Sending your shopping list: The App opens the iPhone share sheet. You choose which app to use and who to send it to. What you send is then handled under the rules of that app.
• Favorite shops: Tapping a shop opens its page in Safari or in the shop's app. Those pages follow their own rules.
• App Store (Apple Inc.): The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Information such as downloads is handled under Apple's privacy policy.
• Contact form (Google Forms): If you contact us, what you enter in the form, including an email address if you choose to give one, is stored in the operator's Google account. It is used only to respond to you and is deleted within one year after we finish responding. Google also handles it under its own privacy policy.

5. Deleting your information

You can delete items one by one in the App. Deleting the App from your iPhone also deletes the information saved in it, though any iPhone backups you have made are separate. Because the operator does not hold what you enter in the App, you do not need to ask us to delete it. To have a message you sent through the contact form deleted, please contact us through the form.

6. Children

The App does not collect information from or about children.

7. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page. If the way the App handles information changes significantly, we will also let you know in the App.
